When should I call a moving company?

The sooner, the better. Although you may be a few weeks or months away from your actual moving date, it is always best to get quote's, compare your moving companies services and book your moving company as early as possible. This will be one less thing for you to worry about and will ensure availability of your selected moving company.

When is the best time to move?

If you are very flexible, most moving companies would suggest any other time than summer. This way the rates are generally cheaper and there is always availability.

How long does it take to move?

This all depends on various factors, such as where you are moving to and from and the amount of furniture you have to move. Interstate Removals generally take between 1-7 working days. It is best to contact our office for a more accurate transit time.  Local removals will also depend on where you are moving to and from and how much gear you have to be moved. Most local removals are charged on an hourly rate basis although fixed prices are also available.

How do you determine what my move will cost?

With interstate removals there are 3 main determining factors. !. Where you are moving to and from. 2. The size of your load. 3. Any access issues that may apply at the collection and delivery points. The less furniture to be moved, the less your quote will be.

How and when should I pay?

We accept all major credit cards and direct deposits. A booking deposit is required to confirm your relocation with the balance due upon collection of the goods. Can my possessions be stored temporarily?

Can my possessions be stored temporarily?

Yes. If you are taking a break between houses or your settlement is extended for some reason, that is not a problem at all, as we offer a complete removals and storage package to all of our clients.

Do my appliances need special attention?

Some electrical or mechanical appliances may need special servicing to ensure safe transportation. Any moving parts such as motors on major appliances, should be securely fastened for your relocation.

Can I pack my china, glass and crystal?

Most people prefer to have their household possessions, especially fragile items, professionally packed by a moving company. However, if you decide to pack these items yourself, remember that the basic principles of good packing include wrapping the items individually, providing plenty of cushioning and making sure of a firm pack.

Can I pack my clothes in a chest or dresser drawers?

Lightweight clothing – sweaters, shirts, blouses, and lingerie – may be left in the drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, table linens or sheets, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Be careful NOT to leave fragile items, money, jewelry, watches or other valuables in the drawers, as well as anything that might spill or leak.
